The College also has an IGNOU Special Study Centre (Code No. 1811 D). IGNOU was founded to serve the Indian population by means of Distance and Open Education. IGNOU provides opportunities for enhancing educational levels for the jobholders, house wives, and aged persons who do not get time to attend regular classes and those who have not been permitted to take admission in different colleges due to long gap after achieving certain educational standard from any school/college, and for those who due to some reasons could not continue their studies and want to continue their studies now.
IGNOU Study Centre provides CBCS Based Bachelor’s Degree Programmes (BA General & Honours) and Master’s Degree Programmes (MA in English, Pol. It is important to mention that the educational programs imparted by the IGNOU are considered at par with the education provided by any other recognized institute of the country. The University gained recognition from University grants commission (UGC). As it is recognized and at par with the other universities, the candidates who have obtained degree are eligible to apply for government jobs.
