Kiang Nangbah Government College, Jowai is a co-educational institution which was established in the year 1967 and is fully managed by the Government of Meghalaya. The College Administration consists of Principal, Governing Body, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Academic Council and different Committees which looks after the different nature of work for the development of the college. This Government College was established in Jowai to cater to the need of the whole of Jaintia Hills. The main purpose of this Government College is to bring education within the reach of the common man and woman. Ever since, this Government College has been of greatest importance and advancement in the field of higher education in North-East India in general and Jaintia Hills in particular and has been recognized as one among the leading colleges in the whole of Jaintia Hills.
